"It’s A Wrap will mark the very last Box Monthly instalment for The Box gallery. With the year also coming to a close and the festive season approaching, the time is ripe for a party!
From December 20th the gallery space will be transformed for three days into an immersive exhibition and pop-up shop. Setting the scene will be a dinner party themed installation, offering a smorgasbord of locally created jewellery, ceramics, design and art pieces to add to your Christmas wish-list.
You are invited to join us for the opening night on December 20th from 6pm, featuring performances by local musicians.
Entry $10 / BYO”
Thanks to the curators for getting me on board for this! Should be good night for some last minute Christmas shopping. I’ll have a couple of large (10 piece and 15 piece) tea sets available on the night. If you’re come, come along and say hello.
Picked myself up one of the Wacom classic pens, which are a little thinner than the pens that come with the units. I hold my pen a little differently than others, so the thinner one is proving more comfortable. It came with some of the stroke nibs, which have a little spring in the middle that make them feel like using a brush - they’re a pleasure to use ^.^ Here’s something in progress that I’ve been testing it all out on. Having a ball!
Thank you so much to all the lovely people that came and said hello at the Finders Keepers market over the weekend. It was a real pleasure to meet you, chat about and share my work - thank you!
I have a little bit of stock left over from the market that I will be listing online on the 28th of November via www.shop.ellamobbs.com.au. Just a friendly heads up to pencil it in if you’re after any teacup and saucer sets, butter plates or dinner plates in the lead up to Christmas - it’s likely that these will be the last of the crockery going online for a little while.
The next market that I’ll be out and about at is the @brisstyle Designers Market at the Brisbane City Hall on the 7th of December from 9am - 3pm. A lovely, handmade market - I am looking forward to it!
